Asana: A physical form of meditation that achieves the qualities of Sukha (comfort and lightness) and Sthira (steady alertness) by releasing resistance in the body.

Pranayama: Breathwork that directs the flow of energy in the body and encourages the mind-body balance.

Yamas:
Ahimsa...non-violence
Satya...truthfulness
Asteya...non-stealing
Bramacarya...acting in way that leads us toward our higher selves
Aparigraha...non-covetousness

Niyamas:
Sauca...cleanliness
Samtosa...contentment
Tapas...keeping the body clean and fit through physical devotion
Svadhyaya...self-introspection in the context of the ancient texts
Isvarapranidhana...constant consciousness of God's presence

Dharana: one-pointed concentration

Dhyana: Meditation

Pratyahara: Withdrawal of the senses

Samadhi: Super-consciousness
